Rich people wouldn’t care to spend that much money on back to school clothes, but how about the middle and lower class people? Canadas Health Care Essay Example For Students

Canadas Health Care Essay Today, Canadians are concerned with many issues involving health care. It is the responsibility of the provincial party to come up with a fair, yet reasonable solution to this issue. This solution must support Canadians for the best; it involves people and how they are treated when in need for health care. The Liberal party feels that they have the best solution that will provide Canadians with the best results. It states that people will have the protection of medicare and will help with concerns like: injury prevention, nutrition, physical activity, mental health, etc. The Canadian Alliance Partys plan is to make several policy-developments to benefit Canadas health care. They believe it will serve the security and well-being best for all Canadians. The last party involved in this issue is the NDP Party; who indicate that they are fighting hard for a better Health Care system in our economy. The NDP Party states that the income of a family should not dictate the quality of health c are. Canadas Health Care system is gradually growing to be a major concern in todays society with providing Canadians with the standard of care they deserve. Health care has become an issue because of the shortage of doctors in Canada; many of them are either going to the U.S.A. or going to other countries to practice in hospitals and clinics. The earning cap imposed by the government has forced doctors to work fewer hours than are necessary to serve the public. Many Canadians are without a doctor to help them with their needs and emergency rooms are filled to capacity with no available beds for those who have to be admitted to the hospital. Waiting time for specialist and specialty tests have become so long that someone diagnosed with a major illness may die before they can be properly treated. Nurses and others in the medical field are overworked and understaffed because the government has made cut-backs to the Health Care System. We live in a country where our health care is a privile ge to have, but getting ill is becoming a problem if there is not adequate facilities and professionals to care for the sick. Todays society is aging longer than ever and will need health care longer than before; patients recovering from hospital stays are being sent home more quickly than ever before, and terminal patients are being sent home for their last days. These circumstances prove that our health care system needs to maintain certain standards so that Canadians can live and die with dignity. With three parties trying to come up with and provide the best solution to give Canadians an opportunity to be given the fullest to this issue that they deserve. There has to be someone giving us the best idea without creating cut-backs or fewer tax increases to better use. The Liberal Party say that they have come up with good benefits for what they are offering. The Liberals want to provide provinces and territories with 21.2 billion dollars, starting in September, to help with certai n areas involving health care and they are also proposing to spend money to help people with investments in health care. The Liberal Party has also stated that they are going to improve health care research and other innovations with investments in certain areas along the way. The reason why it didnt work was because most of what they say is all talk and no action. They say they will raise tobacco sale taxes, and if someone chooses to smoke the cost means nothing. And to others smoking is an addiction that is non-preventable and some people cant quite or cope with the reality without tobacco. To some people tobacco is a way of living and income, which means not to sell but just to make money off the product. The reason why attacking this issue in health care is wrong is because Canadas biggest import and export is farming goods and products (i.e. farming and farming equipment for tobacco). Also the need is not only for research but for scholarships and funds for Colleges or Universi ties that help educate students to become doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other jobs needed in

Is It Terrorism To Attack Terrorists Essays - Terrorism, Violence

Is It Terrorism To Attack Terrorists? Is it Terrorism to Attack Terrorists? Terrorism is politically motivated violence intended to intimidate and terrify. When U.S. embassies were bombed in Kenya and Tanzania, Washington decided to retaliate. On Aug. 20, 1998, the U.S. launched military strikes at what they believed were terrorist-related bases in Afghanistan and Sudan. They believed these groups played a key role in the embassy bombings. Some believe that retaliation and a show of force are acts of self-defence that will eventually result in the destruction of terrorism. Others believe that this attack was merely a demonstration of power and brute force against the Afghan people. The U.S. has formulated many points to justify the reprisal attacks in Afghanistan and Sudan. They claim that terrorist acts, such as the bombing of the U.S. embassies, should not go unpunished. The mounting threat of terrorist attacks on American targets must be controlled. These murderous factions have untenable goals and unlimited bombs, and they must be stopped before terrorism gets out of hand. U.S. allies supported the bombings and described them as part of a global effort to combat terrorism. This act shows terrorists that democratic governments will act decisively to prevent their evil crimes. The bombings were necessary to send a message that terrorist attacks would not be tolerated and to try to prevent further violence. Conversely, some argue that the U.S. is committing international terrorism themselves. The United States regularly uses violence for political motives, to intimidate and terrify, which is the exact definition of terrorism. The bombings in Afghanistan and Sudan were called anti-terrorist raids, but they were actually acts of terrorism by the U.S. themselves. These bombings are not self-defence as the U.S. claims because the attacks on the embassies did not pose an immediate danger to the country itself. Some even claim that these U.S. hostile policies are an act of war against a sovereign country. If the U.S. principles of retaliation were to be applied to other situations, then all around the world there are countries that have a perfect right to bomb Washington. For instance, there were reports that a Miami-based organization was involved in bombings in Cuba that claimed civilian lives. According to U.S. justification, Cuba would have the right to drop bombs in Washington. But these principles of retaliation only apply to the strong, and it states that the strong are allowed to attack the weak and defenseless any time they want. In response to terrorism, further terrorism is not authorized. According to the UN Charter, it is clear that this use of violence is blatantly illegal. Law-abiding states should refrain from using violence and try to prosecute the perpetrators of terrorist attacks, rather than resorting to the same tactics. People who carry out terrorist attacks are culpable and should be punished just like any other crime. The way to deal with the perpetrators of such violence is to gather evidence, track them down and seek extradition for trial. There is little evidence that this type of retaliation accomplishes any concrete actions that would have effects on combating terrorism. The U.S. bombings only serve as retaliation. The American people want to feel a sense of security that these terrorists have been punished, and they are no longer wreaking havoc. If it takes the use of violence to give Americans peace of mind, the U.S. will bomb any country for revenge and as a show of power. The U.S. is the only remaining superpower, and there is no question that it can throw its weight around. The question is, are such attacks productive, are they actually going to reduce terrorism? In this case, the U.S. is trying to solve violence with violence, fighting fire with fire. It does not make sense to use terrorist tactics in a war against terrorism. Legal Issues
